I fell in love with the guitar when I found a discarded, beat-up old archtop in my grandmother's attic. I was quite young, maybe three or four years old, yet I experienced my first young longing and felt the pull of destiny. Much like Shinichi Suzuki, I did not formally study classical guitar until I was in my twenties. Throughout the next many years I met one master teacher after another who guided, inspired and had faith in me as a musician. I have come to know that studying, playing and teaching guitar is an imperative for me - as necessary as thinking, feeling and breathing. As I mature I realize and am grateful for the influence all of my teachers have had on me. I look forward to being that inspiration to people of all ages and abilities.
